Does it work with Gmail and Outlook?

Yes, both ways. Write to anyone with an email address, and their replies arrive in the same inbox.

When ordinary email reaches you, the checks its sender’s domain publishes (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) are run before it arrives, and you see each result on the message. Mail you send out is signed, so their provider can check where it came from.
