Terms of service

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

DMCN provides end-to-end encrypted email between DMCN accounts and a bridge for sending to and receiving from standard email addresses. Mail crossing that bridge is protected in transit but is not end-to-end encrypted.

We may update, add or remove features over time. We will not intentionally weaken the core privacy guarantees described in our documentation without clear notice.

Encryption keys are generated on your device and are never held by us. You are responsible for keeping your passphrase, passkeys and recovery methods safe. Because we cannot access your keys, we cannot recover your mail if you lose all of your trusted devices and recovery material.

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

You agree not to use the Service to send spam, malware, or unlawful content, to infringe others’ rights, or to attempt to disrupt the mesh network or other users. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or the bridge.

Free trials are provided so you can evaluate the Service. Trial accounts are subject to lower sending limits and other safeguards to prevent abuse and spam. We may adjust these limits to protect the network.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Plans differ only in included storage; all paid plans include the full product. You can change or cancel your plan at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.

If you are unhappy within a reasonable period after purchase, contact us and we will consider a refund in good faith.

The Service is delivered over a decentralized network designed to avoid single points of failure. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms others or the network.

The Service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted, DMCN’s aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
